8th August, 2014.
Good day,
Mr. Chairman,
Special guest of honour,
Chief Inspector of Education,
Principal and staff of Ekiugbo Grammar School,
Distinguished Ladies And Gentlemen.
It is with great joy, appreciation and high sense of humility that I stand before you today to address this great gathering of great personalities on behalf of Ekiugbo Grammar school Old Students Association (EGSOSA). Indeed, it is a gathering of noble men because it is only men that celebrate with others.
This body (EGSOSA) was formed some few months ago by students that have graduated from this great institution of learning. The main aim of forming this body is to contribute our quota towards the development of Ekiugbo Grammar School. This body is therefore, committed to the growth and development of this noble institution of learning.
We are here today to celebrate with all those that are retiring from service. We are here to wish all those that are transferred from “our” school well in their new stations. We are equally here to thank you all gathered today for the services that you have rendered towards the development of this great school. We are here to celebrate you as you either retire from service or been transferred to a new station to continue your wonderful service to humanity.
We are very grateful to all of you for the vital roles that you played to ensure that this school becomes greater than you meant it. I wish to specially thank chief (Mrs.) P.E. Aganbi who is retiring today as principal. Your services to the growth of this school will never be forgotten. You shall truly be remembered for your dedication to service. Also, we wish to specially thank other staffs that are retiring today. You all contributed your quota to put in place this school that is currently one of the best in the state. We wish you all wonderful and happy life after service. We wish all those that are transferred to new stations happiness in their new stations. While we shall miss your services in “our” school, we pray that God will continue to guide and protect you in your new stations.
We shall forever remain thankful to chief (Mrs.) P.E. Aganbi for the advice and support that she gave to us during the formative days of this body. Without her, this body would not have successfully come into existence.
We specially wish to thank all those who had work tirelessly to ensure that this occasion becomes successful. It is our prayer that God will reward you richly.
I wish all of you safe journey to your various destinations in Jesus name. (Amen)
